Pittsburgh’s Labor Day weekend is packed with ways to celebrate—from one of the nation’s oldest Labor Day traditions to football, baseball, live music, family activities and outdoor events.

The Allegheny-Fayette Central Labor Council Labor Day Parade returns Monday, bringing unions, workers, community organizations, families and supporters together to celebrate the contributions of working people.

The parade is one of Pittsburgh’s longest-running Labor Day traditions and offers a chance to recognize the workers and organized-labor movement that helped shape the region.

The three-day Pittsburgh Soul Food Festival brings Black food, culture, entrepreneurship and entertainment to downtown.

Get an early start on Labor Day weekend with the Kickoff & Rib Festival at Acrisure Stadium.

Expect BBQ and rib vendors, live entertainment, rides, games and family activities.

And football fans get an added bonus:

Pitt vs. Miami (Ohio) kicks off the college football season at Acrisure Stadium on Saturday.
