Pittsburgh’s bacon-filled festival returns to SouthSide Works Town Square with food, music, local makers and family fun — all with free admission.
PITTSBURGH — If bacon is your love language, mark your calendar.
BaconBurgh is returning to Pittsburgh’s South Side on Sunday, Aug. 30, and Year Two is bringing even more food, music, shopping and family fun — with one major difference: admission is completely FREE.
The festival takes over SouthSide Works Town Square from noon to 6 p.m., giving Pittsburgh food lovers an entire afternoon to sample bacon-inspired creations, browse local vendors and enjoy live entertainment. No tickets. No admission fee. Just come hungry.
Bring Your Appetite
BaconBurgh promises more than 15 food trucks and specialty food vendors, with plenty of creative ways to get your bacon fix.
Expect everything from bacon-loaded burgers and barbecue to BLTs, fries, sweets, fudge and other indulgent creations. And yes — come hungry.

More Than Bacon
The food may be the star, but BaconBurgh is designed as a full-day Pittsburgh festival.
Live music will run throughout the afternoon, while guests can explore the I Made It! PGH Vendor Village, featuring local artists, makers and small businesses. It’s another opportunity to eat local, shop local and support Pittsburgh-area creators.

Yes, There’s a Mechanical Hog
For those looking for a little competition, BaconBurgh will feature a Mechanical Hog — giving festivalgoers a chance to see how long they can stay on the ride.
Families can also take advantage of kid-friendly activities provided by South Side Kids, making the festival an option for parents looking for something fun to do together before the unofficial end of summer.
And there’s another attraction that may be hard to miss: the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile is expected to make a special guest appearance.
Drinks, Music & Good Vibes
Adult guests can also find beer, bourbon and cocktails at the festival, with support from beverage sponsors including Yuengling, Southern Tier Brewing Co., Jack Daniel’s, Old Forester, Surfside and Athletic Brewing Company.
But the biggest selling point for everyone? Admission is FREE for all ages. Guests are encouraged to bring camp chairs or blankets if they want to settle in and enjoy the festival for the afternoon. Parking is available in the South Side Works parking garages for a fee.
