August is one of Pittsburgh’s busiest months, packed with festivals, live music, food, sports, neighborhood celebrations, and family fun. Whether you’re looking for a cultural experience, a great meal, or a summer concert under the stars, there’s something happening nearly every weekend.

August 1–31: Summer Concert Season

August brings one of the strongest concert lineups of the summer, including:

  • Bruno Mars at Acrisure Stadium (Aug. 29)
  • TLC & Salt-N-Pepa (Aug. 24)
  • Ne-Yo & Akon (Aug. 2)
  • Zac Brown Band (Aug. 13)

The City of Pittsburgh also offers free music every week with:

  • Jam at Grandview on Saturday evenings overlooking the skyline.

August 8: Barrel & Flow Festival

August 10–16: Pittsburgh Restaurant Week

Restaurants across the region offer special prix-fixe menus and discounts, making it a perfect week to explore Pittsburgh’s food scene without breaking the budget.

Pittsburgh International Jazz Festival
