A New York native, Anji, debuted on HSN in 2011 and is thrilled to help viewers with their shopping experience with flash and flavor! She brings an expertise ranging from interviewing A-list celebrities on TV & radio to transforming the lives of young people through mentoring. This “foodie” savors unique eateries, laughing, traveling and spending time with loved ones.
PUM:What do you think about your new gig?
AC: There are truly no words to express how elated I am to be entrusted to be part of the HSN host family. These are the TV world’s most exclusive positions and the fact that they believe in me and want me to bring my flavor, style and essence AS IS – is a blessing! There are very few positions outside of reality TV where you can be you. In a sense, this is my reality…shopping, sharing, connecting with our 96 million daily viewers on TV, mobile devices, Web and delivering the joy and excitement to new discoveries every day! Plus, not to mention the warm, sunny weather in Florida is like a bonus.
PUM: What does your new gig entail?
AC: As a Show Host, I’m entrusted to thoroughly research, present and inform, engage our viewers and represent the award-winning HSN brand. I host shows which vary from day-to-day and really become the Quarterback of presenting, inspiring, educating and being the customer advocate through communicating our amazing products. That matched with bonding with our guests and broad HSN personalities from Queen Latifah, Wolfgang Puck, Iman, Mariah Carey and Susan Lucci, Martha Stewart to Jersey Shore’s Nicole “Snookie” Polizzi and top-notch TV crew and staff. As the first electronic retailer that began on radio in 1977 and only retailer with two on air networks in the U.S., this network that operates 24-hours, 364 days-a-year, is chock-full of innovative focus. We are so dedicated to innovation and being your advocate!
PUM: What do you like most about your position?
AC: The ability to break the “4th Wall” get to know our customers authentically, tell them the truth about items and how their lives will be better with our products while still being the “Energizer Bunny,” (which so many affectionately refer to me as) is a joy. I work for the best network, TV crew, various innovative teams and show hosts, it’s like getting a hug every day I work in the building. I’ve never be a part of a more supportive company that truly believes in me and wants me to stay naturally me.
PUM: Are you finding yourself shopping more since you got this gig?
AC: Wow, I thought I like to shop before, but now with access to great items, I shop every day, whether online, my phone or watching other hosts to learn from the true veterans in this electronic retail business! I can’t believe the amazing values and diverse products we have. We actually have thousands and thousands of additional products we don’t even have time to show you on air. Top-notch designers from jewelry to electronics, apparel to food (my favorite), there is nothing we don’t have. Even furniture…. and I’m transforming into a “wanna-be” interior designer. I’m going to need a bigger closet!
