County Executive Rich Fitzgerald has appointed business consultant and longtime community volunteer Stephanie Turman to serve on the Board of Port Authority of Allegheny County.

Ms. Turman of Manchester will serve the remainder of Constance Parker's term that expires in September 2020. Ms. Parker passed away in July.

"I'm honored to serve the transit community in this role and I want to thank the county executive for this tremendous opportunity," Ms. Turman said.

Ms. Turman is president of Always Busy Consulting LLC, an organization dedicated to increasing minority and female participation in construction projects and other large-scale contracts.

She previously worked as the principal liaison for the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh and two low-income housing developments, Aliquippa Terrace and Bedford Dwellings.

She serves on the Allegheny County Industrial Development Authority, the Allegheny County Hospital Development Authority, the Allegheny County Higher Education Building Authority, and the Residential Finance Authority.

Ms. Turman attended Pepperdine University and is a graduate of the Community College of Allegheny County.
