Christopher R. Evans Debuts as new host of Coffee With...

Building Bridges for Business, the region’s leading organization dedicated to empowering and educating small business leaders, today launched the second season of its new media broadcast program, Coffee With…™, and announced a new host, local technology executive, Christopher R. Evans.

Coffee With…™, produced by Building Bridges for Business in conjunction with Lockerman Studios features business, community and government leaders in an interactive discussion format, covering a wide array of important issues that impact the country’s business and social landscape. The new series was released on the organization’s YouTube channel and media channel partners Pittsburgh Urban Media, Soul Pitt, and Urban Media Today.

Debuting this season is new host, Christopher R. Evans, Vice President at True Fit, an innovation firm which helps entrepreneurs and enterprise-level companies ideate, design and develop disruptive technology products, and rapidly get to market. Evans is an award-winning executive with extensive experience with both bootstrap start-ups and Fortune 1000s in strategy, branding, and business development.

Commenting on the new host and season, Building Bridges for Business Founder Linda Handley noted, “We’re thrilled to have Christopher join the Coffee With…™ team, and for the all-star lineup of guests this season!  Christopher truly understands the current business landscape, and brings thoughtful content and discussion points for us to share with business owners and political leaders. As Coffee With…™ continues to evolve, we’re confident the program content offers important perspective on building and sustaining business in today’s economy.”

“It’s an honor to work with Linda and the team at Coffee With…™”, remarked Christopher R. Evans. “We’re going to be visiting with some key people offering a myriad of perspectives on business and economic planning, innovation, finding opportunities and resources, and navigating characteristic business challenges.   It’s my hope to showcase some inspirational stories and provide tangible, practical insight to the small business owner and entrepreneur.”

Guests in 2013 thus far include: Bill Strickland, Chief Executive Officer, Manchester Bidwell & Manchester Craftsmen's Guild; Bev Smith, The Bev Smith Show; and Jessica Lee , V V Ventures. Additional guests and tapings will be announced later this year.

The program tapings are filmed at the Stone Neapolitan Pizzeria, within the newly-opened RiverVue downtown residence complex—a classic 1960’s Pittsburgh renaissance-era building recently repurposed for residential use.

Sponsors to date include the Minority Networking Exchange, Positively Pittsburgh Live Magazine, Giant Eagle – Frankstown Road, Black Tie Pittsburgh,  Carmi's Family Restaurant, and SI Business Associates.
